Emergency Response Program Management Consultants
AECOM International Development is a subcontractor to DMJM H+N and its team called Emergency Response Program Management Consultants (ERPMC). ERPMC is under contract to the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide project management support according to the statutory authorities of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act that helps state and local governments carry out their disaster recovery and mitigation responsibilities.
ERPMC mobilized more than 250 people to Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Florida to help citizens recover from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The AECOM team (acting as DMJM-EarthTech) continues to be involved in the education facilities recovery work, which includes K-12 and higher education in Louisiana.
Since the devastating 2004 hurricane season, the Crisis Response and Stabilization (CRS) group has supported ERPMC's FEMA responses to a variety of domestic weather-related disasters, including winter ice and wind storms across the Midwest U.S. and the Great Plains. CRS deployed forensic and electrical engineers to assess damage to electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure and to assist state applicants with accessing federal disaster recovery support.
